Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Rinse your asparagus thoroughly under cold water, then dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Trim off the woody ends of the asparagus, about 1-2 inches.
Roasting
  1. Place the asparagus on the prepared tray and drizzle with olive oil, rolling to coat evenly.
  2. Sprinkle with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes, or until tips are browned and stalks are tender yet crisp.
  4. Remove from the oven and drizzle again with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan cheese and drizzle the juice of 1/2 lemon over the asparagus before serving.

Notes

For best results, arrange asparagus in a single layer and always start with a properly heated oven. You can experiment with seasonings like garlic powder or red pepper flakes for different flavors.
