Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Mixing

- Lower the mixer speed and add the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and optional espresso powder. Beat until evenly mixed.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes, checking for doneness at 25 minutes for a gooey center.
- Let the cake cool to room temperature before slicing.
