Ingredients
  

For the Pizza Base
  • 1 loaf French Bread (soft) Choose a fresh version for optimal texture.
  • 7-8 tablespoons Butter (melted) Olive oil can be substituted for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic is an excellent alternative.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley Fresh parsley can be used as well.
For the Toppings
  • 1 1/4 cups Pizza Sauce (or marinara sauce) You can make your own for added nutrition benefits.
  • 3 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Try a blend for extra flavor.
  • 3 ounces Pepperoni Slices Feel free to substitute with veggies or other proteins.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional based on spice preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  3. Cut the bread in half crosswise.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Melt in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  5. Brush the bread with garlic butter.
  6. Place the bread in the preheated oven for about 4 minutes to bake the garlic bread.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spread pizza sauce all over the toasted bread, followed by a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
  2. Add pepperoni or your choice of toppings.
  3. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
  4. If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  5. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with red pepper flakes, grated parmesan cheese, or drizzle with hot honey.

Notes

Serve French Bread Pizzas hot right out of the oven, paired with a simple salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
