  • 2 tablespoons Slivered almonds offers a contrasting crunch; pecans could substitute for almonds.

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Trim the ends of the haricots verts.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans and toss to coat.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the beans are tender yet crisp.
  7. If desired, add lemon zest and slivered almonds before serving.

Notes

To prepare ahead, blanch your beans and store them in the fridge for two days until you’re ready to sauté. Consider adding chili flakes for a spicy kick! Store any leftover beans in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
