  • 1 cup Heavy cream For a luscious texture; replace with coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese Its nutty flavor shines; Swiss cheese works well too.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and let it thicken slightly.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Sprinkle grated Gruyère cheese on top and broil until bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. While best enjoyed fresh, this dish can be frozen (before adding cheese) for up to 3 months.
