Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

  3. Stir in cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
