Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, melted butter, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed cornflakes with a little melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the potato mixture.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the edges are bubbly and the top is golden brown.
