Garlic Butter Sautéed Shrimp

This is the easiest recipe for cooking shrimp. Large juicy shrimp are sautéed in garlic butter and lemon, and completely ready in just 10 minutes. It's rich, quick, and deeply satisfying.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 8 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 lemon, to taste

  • skillet for sautéing shrimp in butter

Method
 

  1. Defrost the shrimp and pat them completely dry. Remove tails if desired.
  2. In a bowl, mix Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss shrimp to coat evenly.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  4. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Remove from heat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and toss to coat.

Notes

Use fresh garlic and real butter for best results. Make sure shrimp are dry before cooking to achieve the perfect sear. Serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful butter sauce.
