Preparation
  1. Peel and slice the fresh ginger into thin rounds to maximize flavor extraction.
  2. Measure out the granulated sugar and water, ensuring accuracy for the best results.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sliced ginger, sugar, and water over medium heat.
  2. Stir gently until the sugar completely dissolves, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  3. Allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly and absorbs the ginger flavor.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Serving
