  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil Adds richness and depth of flavor while ensuring the bread doesn’t stick to the grill.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the overall taste and highlights other ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Infuses a savory depth and aroma.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Adds a warm spice that complements the other seasonings.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A mix of herbs that brings a classic Mediterranean taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Unroll the pizza dough and cut it into four equal rectangles.
Grilling
  1. Place each piece of dough on the barbecue, ensuring they are laid out flat and spaced at least two inches apart.
  2. Generously brush the top of each piece with the prepared oil mixture.
  3. Close the barbecue lid and cook for approximately five minutes until the underside is golden brown.
  4. Carefully flip each piece and brush the topside with more oil mixture.
  5. Close the lid and grill for an additional four to five minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from grill and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the grill is preheated thoroughly for even cooking. Use a spatula for easier flipping, and consider experimenting with different toppings or seasonings.
