Ingredients

Burrito Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Tortillas Use flour or corn based on preference.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese For that lovely melt; dairy-free alternative can be used.
  • 1 pound Spicy seasoned beef Substitute with ground turkey or plant-based protein.
  • 1 cup Nacho cheese Consider using homemade cheese sauce.
  • 1 cup Cooked rice Quinoa is a great nutty substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Chipotle sauce Milder alternative can be salsa.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the spicy seasoned beef, nacho cheese, rice, and chipotle sauce.
  2. Lay out each tortilla and spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto the center of each tortilla.
  3. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray or add oil.
  2. Place the burrito seam-side down in the skillet and top with shredded cheese.
  3. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and cheese has melted.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Avoid overstuffing the burrito and ensure to preheat the skillet for even cooking. Use two types of cheese for better flavor, and feel free to cover the skillet while cooking to melt the cheese faster.
