Ingredients

For the Chicken and Broccoli
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Approximately 1.5 lbs, a lean source of protein.
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets Packed with vitamins, fiber, and a vibrant crunch.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing broccoli.
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced, adds depth of flavor to the sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For rich, creamy texture in the sauce.
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce For marinating the chicken and adding umami.
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice Brightens up the dish.
  • Salt and pepper To taste, essential for seasoning.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Add the chicken breasts and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Set your grill to medium-high heat to prepare for cooking.
Grilling
  1. Place the marinated chicken on the grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  2. While the chicken is grilling, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the broccoli florets for about 5-7 minutes, ensuring they remain tender yet vibrant green.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream, remaining minced garlic, soy sauce, and any leftover marinade. Gently heat through until warmed.
Assembly
  1. Once the chicken is grilled, slice it into strips.
  2. To serve, place sautéed broccoli at the bottom of each bowl, layer the sliced chicken on top, and generously drizzle with the creamy garlic sauce.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!
