Preparation
  1. Scoop the flesh of the avocados into a medium bowl.
  2. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the avocado until desired consistency.
  3. Stir in the chopped red onion, finely minced jalapeƱos, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
  4. Start with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and juice from 1 lime, then combine thoroughly.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust the salt and lime juice, adding more as desired.
  6. Enjoy the guacamole fresh with tortilla chips, adjusting flavors to your liking.

Notes

Choose ripe but firm avocados for best results. Fresh lime juice is recommended over bottled. For a creamier texture, mash avocados thoroughly. Press plastic wrap directly onto the guacamole surface if storing to prevent browning. Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for one day.
