Preparation
- In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth and water to a boil over medium heat. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Cooking
- Add the gyoza dumplings to the boiling broth and cook according to the package instructions, usually around 4-6 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped bok choy, sliced shiitake mushrooms, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Let it simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and cooked through.
- Season the soup with salt and pepper as needed. Taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
- Ladle the Gyoza Soup into bowls and enjoy this comforting meal while it’s hot.
Notes
To save time, pre-chop your vegetables beforehand. Feel free to add extra greens for more nutrients and garnish with additional green onions or a drizzle of sesame oil before serving.
