- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until they are fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Add food coloring to the melted marshmallows, mixing until you achieve your desired Halloween hue.
- Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring gently until every piece is well coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into a greased pan and allow it to cool completely.
- After it has cooled, cut into shapes using cookie cutters and decorate with candy corn and other Halloween candies.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for about a month. Grease your hands or use damp spatulas for easy handling of the sticky mixture.
