Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast The main protein, ensuring a tender and juicy base.
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch Gives the chicken a crispy texture while sealing in moisture.
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil A healthy fat that helps in cooking the chicken.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice Freshly juiced for a bright, citrusy punch.
  • 3 tbsp lite soy sauce Provides depth without overwhelming saltiness.
  • 2 tbsp honey Adds sweetness and balances the flavors.
Garnish Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp green onions Provides a fresh crunch and pop of color.

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine the chicken pieces and cornstarch in a large bowl or ziptop plastic bag, tossing or shaking until evenly coated.
  2. In a large skillet, add toasted sesame oil and olive oil and heat over medium.
Cooking
  1. Pour in the freshly juiced orange juice, lite soy sauce, and honey into the skillet.
  2. Introduce the coated chicken pieces to the skillet, discarding any excess cornstarch.
  3. Stir the chicken and sauce frequently, flipping until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. If the sauce thickens too much, add extra orange juice to achieve the desired consistency.
Serving
  1. Once the chicken is ready, sprinkle with diced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for about 30 minutes before cooking for deeper flavor. Use fresh oranges for the best taste. Experiment with garnishes like sesame seeds.
