Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, melt the butter until gently warmed.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well until combined.
  5. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring to combine.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  2. Allow to cool before cutting into heart shapes.
