Ingredients

Pasta and Base Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta Any pasta you love; whole-wheat or gluten-free options are great.
  • 1 lb ground beef Opt for lean beef; ground turkey can be used as a leaner alternative.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can use half-and-half to lighten the calorie count.
  • 1 cup beef broth Homemade is best, but store-bought is convenient.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated melts better; pre-grated works fine in a pinch.
Flavor Enhancers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds irresistible flavor.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Adds sweetness and depth to the sauce.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Always adjust to your palate.
  • to garnish Fresh parsley For garnish and added freshness.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing until well coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta; ensure it’s al dente. Sauté onions and garlic first for optimal flavor. Adjust seasoning as you cook. Freezes well if stored in a safe container.
