Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Choose full-fat for richness or light for a lower-calorie option.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt is a great substitute for a healthier twist.
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk You can use regular milk with a splash of vinegar for a quick alternative.
Herbs and Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill Fresh dill can elevate your dressing even further.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley Swap for fresh parsley if available.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic can be used if you prefer.
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder Finely chopped onion works, though it may alter texture slightly.
  • Salt and pepper To taste; start lightly and adjust as needed.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth and fully blended.
  2. Sprinkle in the dried dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir vigorously until all herbs are evenly incorporated.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste, starting lightly as it’s easier to add more.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld the flavors.

Notes

For best flavor, use the dressing within 4-5 days. Freeze not recommended as texture may change upon thawing. Always store in an airtight container in the fridge.
