Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread. Sprinkle reserved Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
Baking
- Place the slices buttered side up on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- For extra crispiness, broil the toast for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with extra chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer-lasting freshness, refrigerate, but texture may change slightly. You can freeze unbaked slices between sheets of parchment paper or baked slices in a freezer bag.
