Preparation
  1. In a bowl, beat the egg and season with garlic salt. Dip each chicken cube in the egg, then coat with cornstarch, ensuring even coverage.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken cubes in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes, turning until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated. Allow it to simmer for a minute for the flavors to meld.
  5. Remove from heat, and let cool slightly before serving.
