Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice Use freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 cup tequila Opt for high-quality brands.
  • 1/2 cup triple sec Adds sweetness and orange flavor.
  • 1/4 cup runny honey Gently warm if too thick.
  • 1/2 cup water To achieve desired balance.
  • 2 cups ice For shaking and serving.
Optional Ingredients
  • to taste pinch kosher salt For rimming the glass.
  • 1 whole lime wedges For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the glass by rimming it with salt, if desired. Cut a slit in a lime wedge and slide it onto the rim.
Mixing
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the fresh lime juice, tequila, triple sec, runny honey, and water with plenty of ice.
  2. Shake vigorously until well mixed and chilled.
Serving
  1. Fill the prepared glass with ice and strain the mixture into the glass.
  2. Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly squeezed lime juice. Adjust honey sweetness to preference.
