Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together garlic powder, minced garlic, sriracha, honey, water or chicken broth, and soy sauce until well combined.
- Pat the chicken thighs completely dry and season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 7 to 8 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the chicken to the oven and roast for 10 minutes, checking doneness with a thermometer. Continue roasting if necessary until the internal temperature reaches 162-163 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain its juices.
- Simmer the remaining sauce in the skillet until thickened, stirring as needed to prevent burning.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and serve immediately with additional honey sriracha sauce and your preferred sides.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the honey sriracha mixture for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Adjust the sriracha for desired heat level. Ensure to use a meat thermometer for perfect cooking.
