  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Tamari is a gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Arrowroot starch is an excellent substitute.
For cooking
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Opt for sesame oil for a nutty flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Garlic powder can be used in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Ginger paste is a quick swap.
  • 2 tablespoons Hunan sauce Homemade chili sauce can replace it if needed.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Marinating the Chicken
  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the aromatic garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the bell peppers and onion, cooking until softened.
  5. Stir in the Hunan sauce and heat through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve with rice if desired.
