Preparation
- Pour water into the Instant Pot stainless-steel insert.
- Place the steamer basket in the insert, spacing vegetables evenly.
- Secure the lid and set the vent to the sealing position.
Cooking
- Set the Steam preset for 0 minutes at high pressure. For softer veggies, set to 1 minute.
- When time is up, manually release the pressure. Wait for the pin to drop before opening the lid.
- Using heat-safe mitts, remove the steamer basket.
Serving
- Transfer the cooked vegetables to a bowl and season with spices or dressings of choice.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the steamer basket for even cooking. For an added burst of flavor, try fresh herbs post-cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
