  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste Substitutes include crushed tomatoes.
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme Dried herbs can be used if fresh is unavailable.
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary Italian seasoning can be a quick substitute.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Always adjust according to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Vegetable oil is a suitable alternative.

Cooking Process
  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula for around 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the carrots and potatoes, mixing well.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, tomato paste, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Combine everything thoroughly.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning as necessary and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the stew sit for a few hours—or even overnight—in the fridge. Top with fresh chopped parsley for a vibrant finishing touch.
