Method
 

Preparation
  1. Dry the chicken breasts with paper towels, ensuring they are completely moisture-free to achieve a perfect sear.
  2. On a cutting board, gently pound the thick end of the chicken breasts with the palm of your hand until evenly thick.
Seasoning
  1. In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
Cooking
  1. In a large pan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Allow it to get hot, shimmering slightly before adding chicken.
  2. Add the chicken to the pan, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the bottom side is dark golden brown.
  3. Turn the heat down to medium and flip the chicken. Continue to cook for another 6-8 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes to retain its juices before slicing.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of even thickness for consistent cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Chicken can be frozen for up to 3 months.
