  • 2 cups water Essential to boil and soften the jalapeños.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the whole jalapeño peppers to the boiling water and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Allow the jalapeños to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until very tender.
  4. Carefully drain the water and transfer the jalapeños to a cutting board.
  5. Let the jalapeños cool slightly to a manageable temperature.
Blending
  1. Use a sharp knife to cut away the stems of the jalapeños and discard them.
  2. Optional: Slice the jalapeños in half and carefully remove the ribs and seeds for a milder salsa.
  3. Place the cooled jalapeños into the blender with garlic, avocado oil, and salt.
  4. Optional: If using, add the onion and cilantro to the blender.
  5. Secure the lid and blend until creamy and smooth; adjust consistency with more avocado oil if needed.
Serving
  1. Transfer the salsa to an airtight container, allow it to cool completely, and refrigerate for 1 hour until ready to serve.
  2. Enjoy your refreshing jalapeño salsa as a dip or condiment, served chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider roasting the jalapeños before blending. Start blending on low speed to avoid splatter. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving. Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
