Burger Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken Lean ground chicken keeps the burgers moist without excess fat; you may also use ground turkey.
  • 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs Adds texture and flavor; panko can provide extra crunch if preferred.
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances flavor and moisture; substitute with another hard cheese like pecorino for a tangy twist.
  • 1/4 cup grated white onion Provides moisture and depth; shallots can be a milder alternative.

  3. Optionally chill the patties in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a nonstick skillet or grill over medium heat and lightly oil it.
  2. Cook the burgers for 4-6 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. If adding cheese, place a slice on during the last minute and cover to melt.
Serving
  1. Assemble the burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat to prevent tough burgers and check the internal temperature to ensure proper cooking. Chilling the patties can help them hold together better while cooking.
