  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar Stabilizes egg whites for fluffiness; lemon juice can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Provides cheesy goodness; feel free to use any meltable cheese you prefer.
  • to taste none salt Enhances flavor; optional if watching salt intake.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks into two distinct bowls.
  3. In the bowl with the egg yolks, add the cream cheese and mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. In the bowl with the egg whites, add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites until just combined.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheese and a pinch of salt.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Over-mixing the egg whites can lead to dense cloud bread. Ensure the egg whites are completely free of yolk for perfect whipping. Serve warm topped with butter, avocado, or deli meats.
