  • 1 inch Ginger, minced Fresh ginger gives the best flavor; ginger paste can work too.
  • 1.25 cups Soy Sauce Try tamari for a gluten-free alternative.
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice Quinoa or cauliflower rice can be a healthier alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil Can substitute with olive oil or sesame oil.
  • 1 bunch Green Onions Fresh garnish; shallots or chives can be used as alternatives.
  • optional Sesame Seeds For a nutty finish; use crushed nuts if desired.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over the cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
