Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.

- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and dried lavender until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
