  • 1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice Fresh is best but bottled can suffice in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest Use a microplane for best results.
  • to taste pinch Salt Adjust according to your taste.
  • to taste pinch Freshly Ground Black Pepper White pepper can substitute if preferred.
  • optional Fresh Parsley For a touch of color and freshness; can use other herbs.

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Once melted, add the lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine.

Notes

Don't let the butter brown; keep the heat low. Make it beforehand and store it in the refrigerator; just reheat when ready to use.
