Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Combine thoroughly.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish, and pour the marinade over. Seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Add to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  3. Flip the chicken, then pour the reserved marinade over. Cook for an additional 7-10 minutes until chicken is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serving
  1. Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Pair with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh garden salad. Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
