Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 oz dark chocolate Forms the rich, fudgy base of the brownies
  • 4 oz white chocolate Adds creamy sweetness that balances the richness of dark chocolate
  • 1 stick butter Brings moisture and a luscious texture
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Essential for balancing the intense cocoa flavor
  • 2 large eggs Provide structure and help bind the ingredients together
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds a warm undertone that complements the chocolates
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Gives structure to the brownies
  • 1/4 tsp salt Enhances and balances the sweetness

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan, or line it with parchment paper.
Melting chocolate
  1. Melt dark and white chocolate separately over a double boiler and let cool to lukewarm.
Mixing ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in all-purpose flour and salt using a wooden spoon or spatula until just combined.
Creating batters
  1. Divide the batter in half; mix melted dark chocolate into one half and melted white chocolate into the other half.
Layering
  1. Spread half of the dark chocolate batter into the prepared pan.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the white chocolate batter on top, spreading gently.
  3. Spoon the remaining dark chocolate batter on top and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges pull away from the pan and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
Cooling and slicing
  1. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting them into 16 squares.

Notes

For even more flavor, use high-quality chocolate. Allow butter and eggs to reach room temperature for better incorporation.
