Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium mixing bowl, melt butter and mix in cocoa powder until smooth.
- Stir in sugar, followed by eggs and vanilla extract, until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until just combined.
Cooking
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and immediately sprinkle marshmallows on top.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, just until the marshmallows become soft and slightly puffed.
Serving
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles.
- Serve as is, or top with whipped cream for an extra indulgence.
Notes
Ensure the butter is melted but not boiling, and do not overmix the batter after adding flour for fudgy brownies. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
