  • 2 slices slices of bread Opt for whole grain for added fiber and nutrition.
  • 2 types types of cheese (Oaxaca, Chihuahua, or Monterey Jack) Choose any two for a delightful melty experience.
  • butter Butter Generously spread on the bread for a golden crust.
  • Optional additions (jalapeƱos, avocado, salsa) Consider adding these for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat to ensure even cooking.
  2. Generously spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, onto the skillet.
  4. Layer your chosen cheeses on top of the first slice of bread.
  5. If desired, add jalapeƱos, avocado, or salsa on top of the cheese.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
Cooking
  1. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Carefully flip to brown the other side and melt the cheese.
  3. Remove from the skillet, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

Serve hot and fresh, with a side salad or fresh vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Freeze uncooked sandwiches for up to one month.
