Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 pounds Red Potatoes (washed and quartered) Star of the dish; holds shape well during cooking.
  • 1.5 tablespoons Olive Oil (or neutral oil of choice) Helps the spices adhere while promoting crispiness.
Seasonings
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder Add based on your kick preference.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (or regular paprika) For rich, smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin Introduces earthy taste.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground Coriander Optional but recommended.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Oregano Offers herby touch.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder Adds subtle garlic notes.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion Powder Contributes depth and sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese (grated) Provides cheesy finish.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (or to taste) Essential for flavor enhancement.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper Adds heat and depth.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer at 400°F for about 3 minutes.
  2. Place the quartered red potatoes in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Add chili powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, parmesan cheese, salt, and freshly ground pepper to the bowl. Toss everything together to ensure the potatoes are well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Air fry for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking until you achieve a golden brown exterior and tender interior.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket; it can lead to uneven cooking and soggy potatoes. Consider preparing a double batch for later use.
