Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Steak, sliced thin Use sirloin, ribeye, or flank.
  • 12 oz Pasta Penne or fettuccine work best.
  • 2 cups Beef broth Chicken broth can also be used.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Maple syrup could work as a vegan alternative.
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Use a store-bought or homemade blend.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Nutritional yeast can be used for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Any flavored oil can add extra taste.
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced Fresh is best, but garlic powder can be used.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for flavor.

Method

Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Season steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear for 3–5 minutes until browned. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth, heavy cream, and honey; stir well while scraping any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Add uncooked pasta and bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
  6. Cook pasta for 10–12 minutes until tender but al dente.
  7. Return steak to the pan and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the steak in Cajun seasoning overnight. Use a pasta that holds onto sauce better, like rigatoni. Avoid overcooking the steak and don't forget to scrape browned bits for extra flavor.
