Main Ingredient
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined The star ingredient.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the oil in a large cast-iron pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté the diced sweet onion and minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced green and red bell peppers and diced celery; cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Add hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  5. Season with Creole seasoning, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, let the mixture simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add the shrimp and cook for another 7-10 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
  9. Serve over rice and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
