Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the chocolate cookie crust by crushing the cookies and mixing with melted butter.
  3. Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create an even layer.
Cooking
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar, beating until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
Serving
  1. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best texture.
  3. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients to prevent lumps. Consider adding chocolate ganache on top for extra indulgence. Monitor baking time closely to prevent cracking.
