Preparation
- Cut the brioche into bite-sized cubes for even soaking and baking.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Place the bread cubes in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, then pour the custard mixture over the top, pressing the bread gently to soak it all.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the dish from the refrigerator and bake covered for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and set.
Serving
- Allow the bake to cool slightly before serving for better texture.
Notes
Serve warm with a side of fresh seasonal fruits or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze portions for up to 2 months.
