- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

- Pour in the broth, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Rinse the rice before cooking to remove excess starch and prevent stickiness. Let the dish rest covered post-cooking to allow the flavors to meld beautifully. For added depth, consider experimenting with bay leaves or homemade broth.
