Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken wings Choose fresh or frozen; thaw if frozen.
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice Use fresh juice for a fresher flavor.
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce Opt for a low-sodium version for a healthier option.
  • 2 tbsp honey Maple syrup works as a substitute.
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce Tamari can be used for gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic Fresh is best but jarred works too.
  • 1 tsp grated ginger Fresh version is preferred but ground ginger can suffice.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Can use white pepper for subtler heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the wings for 25 minutes, flipping halfway to ensure even cooking.
  4. In a bowl, mix the pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to form the marinade.
  5. Brush the marinade generously over the wings.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes to create a delicious glaze.
  7. Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, broil them for the last 2-3 minutes. Reserve some marinade before brushing for dipping later.
