Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the asparagus spears. Trim their ends as needed.
  2. Put the trimmed asparagus in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of water to help steam the asparagus.
Cooking
  1. Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for about three minutes or until tender-crisp.
  2. Use a fork to transfer the asparagus to a serving plate.

Notes
