  • 1-2 pieces jalapeños, minced Adjust based on desired heat level; can be omitted for a milder salsa.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Freshly squeezed lime juice is recommended.
  • to taste salt Enhances flavor; add gradually to avoid over-seasoning.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and minced jalapeños.
  2. Add in the lime juice and a pinch of salt, and then stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  3. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
  4. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.

Notes

For extra heat, consider roasting the jalapeños before adding. If fresh tomatoes aren't available, high-quality canned diced tomatoes can be used.
