  • 1 cup Whole Milk Adds creaminess and richness.
  • 2.25 teaspoons Platinum Yeast from Red Star Instant Yeast Helps the bread rise beautifully.
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar Feeds the yeast for a good rise.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter Make sure it's softened for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Balances flavors and controls yeast activity.
  • 4-5 cups All-Purpose or Bread Flour Forms the structure of the bread.

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and tools, including a large mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the warm water and milk. Ensure they're around 110°F (43°C) to properly activate the yeast.
  3. Add the yeast and sugar to the warm mixture. Let it sit for about five minutes until it becomes frothy.
  4. In your larger bowl, mix the flour and salt together.
  5. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and combine until smooth.
Cooking/Assembly
  1. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it’s soft and elastic.
  2. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm area until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  3. Punch down the dough gently, then shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased bread pan.
  4. Cover again and let it rise for about 30-40 minutes until it’s puffed up.
Serving
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  3. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Slice and enjoy fresh, or store it for use throughout the week.

Notes

Use fresh yeast, room-temperature butter, and ensure proper kneading techniques for best results. Store bread in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
