Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Grate the cold butter and add it to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Use a fork to mix until the mixture resembles a coarse meal with tiny lumps.
- Gradually stir in the milk—don’t add it all at once! Add just enough until the dough pulls away from the side of the bowl.
Baking
- Scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet using a medium scoop.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and enjoy warm.
Notes
These biscuits are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
