Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the beef brisket generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
Cooking
- In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Sear the brisket on both sides until browned (about 5 minutes per side).
- Remove the brisket and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Deglaze the pot with Worcestershire sauce and beef broth.
- Place the brisket back in the pot, cover, and transfer to the oven.
- Cook for 3-4 hours, or until tender.
- Let rest before slicing, and serve with cooking juices.
Notes
Best served sliced against the grain to ensure tenderness. Leftovers can be stored for up to 4 days and frozen for 2-3 months.
