Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Fresh Corn Kernels Fresh corn lends a natural sweetness. If fresh isn’t available, frozen corn works well too!
  • 1/2 cup Butter Adds richness and satiny smoothness. You can substitute with olive oil for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Gives it that luxurious texture. Half-and-half or whole milk can be used, but the texture won’t be as creamy.
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced Brings a depth of flavor. You can skip this if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste Don’t shy away from seasoning; they elevate the dish.
  • Fresh Chives for garnish They add a pop of color and a hint of freshness. Green onions can be a lovely alternative.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a slow cooker, combine corn, butter, heavy cream, and minced garlic.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir to combine thoroughly.
  4. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the corn is tender and the mixture is creamy.
  5. Before serving, garnish with fresh chives.
  6. Serve warm alongside roasted meats, cornbread, or a fresh salad.

Notes

For the best texture, fresh corn is essential. Stir halfway through cooking to ensure even creaminess. If you prefer a slightly thicker texture, you can blend a portion of the mixture before serving. Can add cheese during the last hour of cooking.
